"Zachary the Sailfish" 40" x 30" SOLD

Zachary the sailfish is my first painting where I'm trying to accomplish a darker background. The goal was to make the animal pop by creating a darker background, filling in the shadows on the fish with a lighter blue, and then spreading a very wet and transparent layer of burnt sienna over the body to create that bronze appearance. Overall, this has been one of my favorites.
