"October at the Lake" 36" X 48" Unframed

Trees and Leaves! This painting told me what to do. I originally started with the intention to do a swamp/marsh scene behind the trees, but after a little bit of direction a painting has a tendency to just do what it wants. I think the real challenge as a painter is to close your ears to yourself, don't get in your own way, and just allow it to happen. 

Very large piece that would look great over a couch or on a large wall. 

The painting is unframed, but the sides are painted DARK blue (almost black).
